Trexler Game Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania

Today we went on a ten mile frosty hike in Trexler Game Preserve in Schnecksville. Those beautiful rolling hills in Pennsylvania make for quite a challenging workout with a couple of inches of snow to trudge through! The terrain was quite varied; we walked along rivers and streams, through fields, up and down hills, and sometimes we had to step quite carefully, especially traveling down slippery slopes. It was a very fun and interesting hike!

The river was partially frozen.

A bison eating a Christmas tree. Now there's something you don't see every day!

These fellows are huge!

Across snow covered fields

Through corn fields

Somebody's been walking on the river!

More icy river and stream shots

Not frozen solid yet

Late afternoon, the sun is low.

Almost finished! One more view of the river.
